Tuna Steak with Chilli Prawns
175 gms Tuna Steak (avoid very thin cut Tuna)
70 gms of raw peeled King Prawns.
Lightly oil the Tuna Steak with olive oil, season both sides with salt and pepper.
Rub a cut fresh garlic clove round the frying pan, heat the pan until really hot with a desert spoon full vegetable oil in the pan (obviously depending on the size of your pan).
Seal the Tuna Steak on both sides and cook for no more than two minutes on either side ensuring that the steak is pink in the middle, do not over cook. The cooking time will depend on the thickness of the steak.
Place the Tuna steak in a warming oven on a warm plate (ensuring the oven is on).
Pan fry the King Prawns until they are pink and then add a table spoon of sweet chill sauce and ensure the prawns are well coated.
Remove the Tuna Steak from the oven, place the prawns on the top of the steak and drizzle the remaining chilli sauce over the prawns and the Tuna.
Decorate with lemon or lime and parsley, serve with fresh vegetables or a side salad.
This is a single portion, very quick to prepare and absolutely delicious.
